St. Anthony School first and second graders walked around Hawthorne caroling for patrons of the Hawthorne Post Office, library and a few business along the way. Accompanied by guitar-playing principal Sr. Colleen Clair and teachers, the students brought joy to the hearts of all they encountered. The students had a magical time as well. Students from St. Joseph School in Mendham joined middle school students from the other Paterson Diocesan elementary schools for a pilgrimage to the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist. After an inspiring history lesson about the cathedral by Bishop Serratelli, the bishop along with many priests from the parishes the schools represent celebrated Mass.
The Diocese of Paterson Catholic Schools office enthusiastically welcomed back over 7,000 students to our 25 elementary and secondary schools across three New Jersey counties this month. On Tuesday May 16 the St. Patrick School (Chatham) Forensic team took first place in the varsity division hosted by the St. Joseph School (Mendham NJ).
Over the course of the last sixteen months, the Catholic Schools office and our Diocesan elementary and secondary schools have been preparing for AdvancED re-accreditation.
